Going green

It's been a few weeks since my last post and I've been catching up on thrifting and watching some tv shows in that time! Today, my friend Natasha came to visit me from Ohio, on her way to Key West. She will be traveling to her home country of Romania in a few weeks! I am in the mood for some traveling myself, but posing for pictures in my traveling gear will have to do!
I picked up my dress, belt, and gloves at my favorite thrift store. Natasha took these fabulous pictures!
I'm ready for a fancy adventure. St. Augustine in a few weeks will be so much fun! Xoxo, Amber.

Floral forever

My beautiful new dress arrived today! I put it on right away and pranced around. I love the style, it is very unique. I decided against wearing a petticoat because it was 90 degrees today and I was sweating just looking out the window...
 (Remy loves to photo bomb...)
My mother and sister left for Michigan today and will be gone for two weeks. I'm happy to have the house to myself, besides my brother, and I plan to relaxxx by the pool and take tons of bubble baths!
My hair may or may not be black by the next outfit post. I'm still deciding. Have a lovely weekend.

Indie market pictures

Here is a recap of Sunday in pictures... I woke up and got all dolled up for the day. I wore my 50s gingham dress with my pink shawl and worked hard to style my hair. It was terribly hot, so after getting to the festival and setting up my table, I had to ditch the shawl. There were booths inside a warehouse and outside. We were outside. Everyone was selling unique handmade or vintage items. The owner of lollipops and pistols was there in her converted food truck which she sells her amazing clothes out of!
Those creepy heads are hand painted by me. I had quite a bit of vintage fur, which didn't sell well on a hot Florida day, but I gave it a shot. You can't see, but my clothing was set behind the dress form and we sold a dress right away!
Our booth neighbor was a very talented man who runs a shop called galvinleatherworks. Look him up! He makes tons of amazing things out of leather. That top hat was so cool.
After we sold a few things, it started to rain, or should I say pour. That was the end of my lovely hairdo!

I had a bit of free time, so I looked around the other booths and met the owners. I spotted this beautiful picture of Bettie Page and I had to get her! The quote fits me so well "are my seams straight?" (I wear a lot of stockings with back seams). The creator of this masterpiece has a shop called Love Allison. Make sure to check her out too!
I walked around to the Lollipops and Pistols truck to see if she wanted to trade and she did! That's how I got this beautiful day dress. I am so happy with it and will be taking photos in it soon!
At another booth, I traded a dress for this unique one. I adore it! I had such a fun time at the market, selling clothes and meeting new people. The next one is set to be in October and I will be looking forward to it! Xoxo, Amber

Cherry on top

Here is one of my new dresses from Pin up parlor in Deland! Its just the cutest shop filled with the most amazing clothes and accessories. This dress is from sourpuss clothing and it fits so well. Please excuse my frizzball hair, the weather is atrocious in Florida right now. 90 degrees and humidity!
Don't you love the cherries? I paired the dress with my red wedges to bring out the cherries.
Baby Rem wanted to be a part of the fun! Look at that smile!

Today, we went thrifting and barely found anything. Better luck next time. I had sooo much fun at the Indie market on Sunday. I met so many amazing people doing what they love. I will be posting about it with some pictures tomorrow. I traded some clothes from the shop for some other cute dresses. So excited to share!

A hair scarf and high waisted shorts

Today was super rainy so please excuse the background for these pictures...Dakota's room. (yes, that is a shrine to Ted Nugent on the wall). My baby Remy wanted to be in the pictures at first, but soon got distracted by his stuffed bunny toy. Today I went to Pin Up Parlor in Deland and picked up two amazing dresses, one in cherry print and one in leopard print! The owner and her mother are super sweet and I will definitely be going back for a Trophy Queen bag.
We spent the rest of the day getting the shop all packed up for the indie festival tomorrow, so I chose a casual outfit to work in. Hair scarfs are very hard to tie, so excuse the disheveled look! I'm so excited for tomorrow and I'm praying it does not rain! If you're in the area, come visit me tomorrow from 12-7 in downtown Deland, Artisan Alley. Xoxo, Amber
