Michigan Trip Part 2

My Aunt took these pictures before I went to Detroit with my cousins. I wore my leopard print dress from sourpuss clothing that I got from Pin up parlor in Deland. I paired it with my red wedges from target and a matching flower clip from H&M.
(No shoes allowed in the house so I was barefoot for these photos, but you can see the wedges in previous posts.)
I had heard that the city was basically burned down since it has been going downhill for quite some time and has filed for bankruptcy. I went there two years ago for a music festival, and I thought it had a lot of character and I just had to go back to see if the rumors were true.
My cousin picked me up and I drove her awesome gangster car. My outfit was tied together perfectly with these sunglasses that I got at the flea market.
The condition of the city was rough, as I expected, but no worse than it was last time I was there! I love abandoned buildings, so perhaps that is why I still like the city.
We hung out and my cousin skateboarded around hart plaza. It was a fun day/night. We also drove around Belle Isle and that was beautiful.
Its hard to imagine the city as it once was in its prime. It has seen so much and bred so much talent. I don't believe that it can rise back up from this, but there is still character lingering in this place.

Michigan trip part 1

We had to take a last minute trip to Michigan under very sad circumstances. My Uncle passed away who was like a father to me. The funeral was beautiful and the family came together to make a terrible time bearable. My Aunt is a wonderful photographer, so I asked her to take some outfit photos so I could show you guys her lovely backyard.
My Uncle loved to dress up, so I honored him by bringing along the very best of my wardrobe.
Details: H&M socks look amazing with my favorite thrifted shoes.
Close up and my Aunt's luscious garden!
My dress was purchased on Ebay. I paired it with a thrifted patent leather belt, sweater, and hair scarf
Charley, my Aunt's King Charles Spaniel, was the star of the show. He's a sweet pea! I was glad that the trip went well, but I am happy to be home with my puppy and kitties. More photos to come!

blue suede shoes

Hey y'all! It's been another rainy day in the sunshine state. I decided to get a little colorful to brighten up the gloomy day. I put on this comfy dress and not so comfy shoes and ran some errands. Not very fun, but mandatory. I have been laying around since the fourth Friday sale where I worked hard and made some good sales! We sold some hair scarves, a Vietnam War jacket, some jewelry, and a few other items.

I received my sunkissed voxbox from influenster and I will be posting about it soon! Until then, have a great week! Xoxo, Amber
